The 26th Bongsan Art Festival


The 26th Bongsan Art Festival will be held from October 10th to the 16th at 11 galleries in the Bongsan Cultural Center Plaza at Jung-gu, Bongsan Cultural Street. Prior to the opening ceremony there will be a classical concert, Nanta performance by Keimyung Cultural College, and songs by Park On-yu.

The information booth and photo zone are located at the entrance of Bongsan Cultural Street. In addition, the street will be adorned with banners as well as works by young artists. Visitors can experience a variety of activities including arts and crafts and a flea market.


The Young Artists Project will provide spaces for guests to enjoy meals and drinks from various shops around Bongsan Cultural Street. Food trucks will also be available. This year a docent program will be introduced so visitors can tour the galleries with expert guides. The program begins every-day (except Saturday) at 2 pm for 20 people on a first-come first-serve basis.

The most popular event from last year is an art auction, which will be held on the 13th at 2 pm. People can buy various art works from galleries, collectors, and artists.

Esther Chung, the head of the Bongsan Cultural Association, said “In order to create an enjoyable festival, we have collaborated with young artists, merchants, and contemporary artists’ associations. We are looking forward to welcoming many visitors.”
