DHC Student Council and Staff Raise Funds to Help Victims of Gangwon Forest Fire


DHC to Provide Special Scholarship to Students from Victims’ Family.

Daegu Health College (DHC / President Dr. Nam, Sung-hee) student council and the staff raised funds to help the victims of recent bush fire in the Gangwon Province.

Student council voluntarily utilized the school’s notice board, electronic display boards, and social network services (Instagram and Facebook) to raise the funds.  DHC staff joined to assist the students’ fund raising.  The staff encouraged the students for their voluntary efforts, and initiated fund raising activities by each department.  The DHC student council and the staff are expected to contribute 3,700,000KRW to the national fund raising organization.  DHC is also identifying students from the victim’s family to provide them with special scholarship.

Mr. Oh, Chang-ryeol, the president of DHC student council (23, Junior in department of dental laboratory science) said “we decided to raise funds as consolation to those who suffered from such tragic accident.  I hope the fund raising activity expands so we can help the victims as much as possible.”
