DHC Professor Lee, Jin-hwan Receives 2019 ROK Education Donation Individual Grand Award

Daegu Health College (DHC / President Dr. Nam, Sung-hee) department of physical therapy professor Lee, Jin-hwan received grand award and a commendation from minister of education for individual category during the ‘2019 8th Republic of Korea Education Donation Awards Ceremony.’  Ministry of Education and Korea Science Creation Foundation hosted the ceremony on the 23rd at hall 7, 2nd exhibition center, KINTEX, Ilsan.

 

Professor Lee’s contributions in engaging and sharing education with students to help improve students and develop education system was highly recognized.

Professor Lee, since 2014 when he started teaching DHC students as a physical therapy professor, has been sharing his talents to the community for those who need help, including the elderly and the middle / high school students.  Professor Lee has provided physical therapy sessions to more than 1,500 handicapped, and also counselled more than 200 students in rural (agriculture / fishing village) areas for 4 years.

 

Professor Lee chaired complex medical career experience program in 2019.  In link with the Daegu office of education to invigorate free-learning semester, Professor Lee developed education donation programs and secured various opportunities for middle school students to develop their talents.  Professor Lee registered beneficiaries of his program through the office of education and provided career counseling session ‘dream creation campus’ for 6 hours a week over the course of 12 weeks to the high school students in the area.

 

Professor Lee also actively developed programs to invigorate visions for the education donation.  Professor Lee used DHC’s key program, the complex medical education program, to help students better understand the organic nature of medical field – Professor Lee served as a gracious donator for professional education.

 

Professor Lee (38) said “I will systematically establish a culture for education donation and continue to reach out to the community to help college students and the youth.”
