DHC President Nam Elected as the 19th President of KCCE


DHC President Dr. Nam, Sung-hee was elected as the 19th president of the Korean Council for College Education (KCCE).


The ‘2020 KCCE Board Meeting’ was hosted on the 21st JAN at The K hotel, Seoul.  With 135 college presidents in presence, president Nam was elected as the new and the 19th president of the council.

President Nam’s term begins on Ministry of Education’s approval lasting until 4 SEP 2020.


President Nam is a graduate of Ewha Woman’s high school, Ewha Woman’s University (B.S. Mass Communication), and received her Ph.D. in education from Yeungnam University.  Appointed as DHC president in 2002, Dr. Nam served as government performance appraisal member under the office of prime minister from 2010 to 2014.  From 2013 to 2017 she served as local government development committee member under the office of the president.


President Nam improved social benefit as the president of Korea Red Cross Daegu Office from 2010 to 2016.  During this time, she also served as the president of Korean Council for College Corporate and vice president of KCCE, strenuously improving education, culture, and athletics in the region.


President Nam marked the history as the first woman president of KCCE in 41 years since its foundation in 1979.
