Daegu Health College President Dr. Nam, Sung-hee to Attend International Dental Show in Germany to Discuss Overseas Employment
– President’s Tour will Include Korea – Germany Dentist Association Foundation Ceremony –
Daegu Health College (DHC) President Dr. Nam, Sung-hee (64·Female) will attend ‘2019 International Dental Show (IDS) in Cologne, Germany, from 12 to 16 March. Dr. Nam is to promote DHC’s excellence in education and to discuss job opportunities with Dental Lab companies at IDS.
Dr. Nam is also expected to meet with CEOs from 5 Dental Lab companies from Germany, U.S., and Canada to extend appreciation for selecting DHC graduates and helping them get adjusted to the local life.
Dr. Nam’s tour in Germany will also involve her visit to the Korea-Germany Dentist Association foundation ceremony. President Nam’s main efforts during this event will be to implement a program which will allow the students to receive hands-on training at the dental clinics and/or dental companies that will lead to employment.
IDS is the world’s largest exhibition of dental equipment held biannually. Last IDS in 2017 had brought together 2,200 companies from 60 countries to showcase their products to 150,000 people from 157 countries.
Vice President Jang will visit Dental labs and clinics in Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, and Wiesbaden to coordinate visa requirements, duties, and working conditions for DHC students. Vice President Jang’s visit is to solidify the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s Youth Overseas Employment program.
President Kim, Nam-seok said “you can’t solve unemployment issues sitting idly and doing nothing.” President Kim has been meeting with the executives and HR managers in the area to find employment opportunities, encouraging for interest in the school’s employment program.
