La Luce has become a staple in the Daegu fine dining scene for quite some time now. Owner and chef Kim Sun Il has honed both his skills and his menu. The décor is clean and spacious, but doesn’t come across as too sterile. On the menu, you’ll find a broad selection of “contemporary European cuisine,” including dishes with roots in Italy, Spain and Greece. Two of Chef Kim’s new selections worth checking out are the ridiculously tasty linguine with white truffle oil and crab, and the braised, yogurt marinated lamb shoulder which apparently took quite some time to perfect.
